Solar Battery Dealer in Lahore — Supply, Delivery & Installation

Ashraf Battery Service supplies and installs solar batteries across Lahore — mainly tubular batteries sized to your panels, inverter and how much overnight or backup use you need. We deliver, wire the bank correctly, set the charge parameters and test it. For a hybrid or off-grid setup, tell us your inverter kW and daily backup requirement and we will size the bank rather than guess.

Quick summary

  • Tubular and deep-cycle solar batteries, sized to your system — not a one-size guess.
  • Delivered and connected in Lahore; correct series/parallel wiring and lugs.
  • We set the solar inverter’s charge and low-voltage cut-off for the battery type.
  • Old battery taken in exchange; warranty card with every battery.
  • Send your inverter kW + backup hours: 0309-7179133.

Do you actually need a battery?

If you are on net metering (on-grid) and only want to cut your bill, you may not need a battery at all — the grid acts as your storage. You need a battery when you want the house to keep running during load-shedding or after sunset, which in Lahore most people do. If you are unsure, tell us your goal and we will say honestly whether a battery is worth it for you.

Which battery for solar

Solar cycles a battery every single day — charge in sunlight, discharge in the evening — so it must be a cycling battery, not a car battery. In order of suitability and cost:

  • Tubular — the standard choice. Thick plates, handles daily deep cycling, 3–6 year life with care. Best value for most homes.
  • Deep-cycle flat plate — cheaper, shorter life, fine for lighter use.
  • Lithium (LiFePO4) — longest life, lightest, most usable capacity, but the highest upfront cost. Worth it for large daily use or if space and weight matter.

Sizing the bank

Two numbers set the battery size: your inverter’s DC voltage (12V, 24V or 48V — this fixes how many batteries in series) and how many units of energy you need overnight. As a rough guide, a 12V system uses one battery, 24V uses two in series, 48V uses four. For capacity, we ask what you run at night — fans, lights, a fridge, a TV — and for how many hours, then choose the Ah so a normal night only pulls the bank down to about 50–60%, which is what makes it last.

Installation

  1. Batteries placed on a ventilated rack or surface, off the floor, shaded, away from the inverter’s heat.
  2. Series/parallel wiring done with correctly sized cable and crimped lugs.
  3. Solar inverter charge voltage, absorption time and low-voltage cut-off set for the battery type.
  4. Tested through a full charge and a real evening discharge.

Making a solar battery bank last

  • Keep it cool and ventilated — heat is the biggest life-shortener.
  • Do not habitually run it flat; set the inverter to protect the battery at ~50%.
  • Check water monthly on tubular/flooded batteries; distilled water only.
  • Keep terminals clean and torqued; loose connections on a solar bank overheat.
  • Replace the whole bank together, never mix ages.

What to send us

Inverter make and kW, its DC voltage (12/24/48V), how many batteries it currently has, your panel size in kW, and roughly what you want to run at night and for how long. We will come back with a battery type, an Ah rating, a number of batteries and a price after old-battery exchange — then deliver and install it in Lahore.

Frequently asked questions

What kind of battery is best for a home solar system in Pakistan?

A tubular battery for most homes — thick plates handle the daily charge-discharge cycle and last 3 to 6 years with care. Deep-cycle flat plate is a cheaper minimum; lithium (LiFePO4) lasts longest but costs the most upfront.

Do I need a battery if I have net metering?

Not for bill savings alone — the grid stores your excess. You need a battery to keep the house running during load-shedding or after sunset, which most people in Lahore want.

How many batteries does my solar inverter need?

It depends on the inverter's DC voltage: 12V uses one battery, 24V two in series, 48V four in series. Capacity (Ah) depends on your overnight load. Send your inverter details and we will size it.

Can you install the solar battery bank for me?

Yes. We deliver, place the batteries on a ventilated rack off the floor, do the series/parallel wiring with proper lugs, set the inverter charge and cut-off voltages, and test through a full cycle.

Can I use my old car battery for solar?

No. Car batteries are built for short bursts, not daily deep cycling — they fail within months on solar. Use tubular or deep-cycle.
